Cyclone Amphan has hit the bay of bengal with a speed of 185kmph.
Before this cyclone claimed approx 15lifes in India and Bangladesh. This cyclone is strongest among many cyclones which have hit the bay of bengal in last several decades.
Many thanks to state administration for driving a secure evacuation programme for the people of affected states. The governments have evacuated approx 30 lakh people which is a high number.

It is a UN body, it is headquartered in SWITZERLAND and its current president is Gerhard Arian of Germany. World meteorological day is being observed on 23 March.
This cyclone Amphan has been strongest in many a decades. Because of this cyclone major devastation has occurred in Bangladesh and Indian states of West bengal and Odisha.
