CAA: a milestone or a black law

Bhartiya janta party led coalition NDA has passed citizenship amendment act in parliament with a majority. This act was part of BJP manifesto since beginning of the party. This bill was passed by Indian Parliament on 10 December 2019. Home minister Amit shah has presented this bill and on 12 December 2019, after signature of president Ram nath kovind, it became a law. This law came in execution on 20th January 2020. In this law religious minorities of Pakistan, Bangladesh and Afghanistan are eligible for Indian citizenship, these religious minorities consists of Hindu, Baudh, Sikh, Jain, Parsi and Christians.

First law based on religion

After independence such type of laws based on religion have never came to force. Basically, India is a secular country and not based on any religion. So giving citizenship to particular person or denying on the Base of religion is never going to be a good thing, so this law is discriminatory in its basic nature.

Supporting factors

No one can deny that religious minorities are at a risk to follow their religion, but at the same time you can say that Shia Muslims and other Muslim communities are also facing persecution. This law is only for the Pakistan, Afghanistan and Bangladesh, in these countries Muslim is state religion.
But at the time it would be a good idea that any persecuted man has a chance to get citizenship of India.

Some basic constitutional rights

There are some fundamental rights given to people. Article 15 discuss that no discrimination on the basis of cast, creed and gender etc. Article 25-28 says that all citizens have a right to worship or follow their faith with a dignity.

India's policy towards refugee in past

India believes in a principal of 'everyone is a family'. This law is not based on that principle, but for your information let me tell you that India is not a signatory of 1951 UN convention on refugees and 1967 convention which was signed in New York.

Other countries responses

United nations human rights commission has criticised India on this matter and many other countries have said that this is India's internal matter and choose a path of silence.
We can say that in future these types of laws needs a proper scrutiny and debate. This is passed in an immediate manner.
Hope this law can give justice to people.

severe heatwave in Indian subcontinent

Recently a ranking was made of world's top hot places. In that ranking there was almost 10 cities of India among 15.  World's hottest place was in Pakistan, infact in Pakistan that city temperature which is hottest place on earth remains approx 50degree centigrade in past 5 years.  Heatwave is declared based on previous temperature record. Scientists average past temperature and on the basis of that analysis they declare a specific temperature as heatwave, this temperature is 4-5degree above the average temperature and if it is above 6degree then it is called as severe heatwave.  This is happening because of climate change our environment is changing continuously, our weather pattern has changed in a significant way, climate has changed so we see rain in winter and drought in other weather. Nobody can predict what is going to happen in coming years.  This is all because of climate change and we should make more agreements like Paris climate treaty and should follow t...

Growing identity crisis in people

Some days ago suddenly I came through a news of the France. The incident was that there grew a sudden and powerful anger against the people of middle east or africa, remember my words that this intolerance has not suddenly grown up but it is result of all the racism Which have taken place in last some years .If we see or want to track origin of all these problems then we will find that growing tensions of people's own minds are creating various hallucinating situations, this reason is perfect that these immigrants are increasing security problems and clearly these things are unsafe for society and especially for women, but at the same time we should also think for these people. After all they are all our society member, and I think that there is no need for me to describe dominos theory which USA followed in the decade of 1950.We can also see that today western world countries have grown rapidly but rest of the world remained in hunger and poverty. In a underdeveloped country like India ...
